How long does setup take?

Most shops are live in about ten minutes. You claim your address, add your services with durations and prices, set your working hours, then share the link. You can start taking bookings before you have finished styling the page.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. Every business starts with a full 30-day trial with no card on file. You add a card only when you decide to keep going.

What happens when my trial ends?

You get a heads-up before it runs out, then a seven-day grace period to add a card. Your bookings, clients and page stay exactly as they are — nothing is deleted while you decide.

Can I move my clients and services from Square, Fresha, Booksy or Vagaro?

Yes. Add your services and set your hours, then bring your client list across so their visit history follows them. Most people do this during the trial, before they start sending the link out.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. The workspace, calendar and Next Up board all work on a phone, and the Next Up board is designed to sit full-screen on an iPad at the front desk.

How much does it cost?

Solo is $29 a month for one chair. Shop is $79 a month and includes three chairs, with extra seats at $19 a month each. All prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes.

What is the difference between Solo and Shop?

Both plans include your booking site, unlimited appointments and clients, Next Up workday mode, intake questions and SMS reminders. Shop adds team members and per-barber schedules, a portfolio gallery on your site, loyalty and referral rewards, and the AI studio with ten credits a month.

Do I get text reminders on Solo?

Yes. Automatic confirmations and 24-hour reminders are on both plans — you bring your own SMS provider account, so you pay your provider's rate rather than a markup from us.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, any time from Billing, and the change is prorated. Moving to Shop takes effect immediately. Moving back to Solo needs your team down to one chair first; your portfolio, loyalty and referral settings are saved but hidden until you come back.

What happens when I add a seat?

On Shop, your card is charged the prorated amount for the rest of the month right away, then $19 each month alongside your plan. Removing a seat takes effect at the next renewal and is not refunded early.

Is there a discount for recent graduates?

Yes — barber and cosmetology grads get Shop for $49 a month for 12 months. Because the rate is worth proving, we ask for your school, graduation date and a document (diploma, license or school letter). A platform admin reviews it, usually within one or two business days.

Do you take a cut of my bookings?

No. There is no commission on appointments, no per-booking charge, and no fee added to your clients. Card processing for online payments is the standard rate shown before you connect.

Can I cancel?

Any time from Billing. Your access runs to the end of the period you already paid for, and you can ask for an export of your data.

What is Venovax Pay?

Venovax Pay is our payment layer, powered by Stripe. It lets you take deposits, charge prepaid services, or collect cash at the shop — your call, per service.

Who gets paid, and how fast?

You do. Funds settle directly to the bank account on your connected payout profile. You are the merchant of record: you set your prices, deposit rules, cancellation policy and refunds.

What does it cost to take a payment?

Standard card processing plus a small platform fee. Both rates are shown in your payout settings before you connect, so there is nothing to discover on a statement later.

Can I still take cash?

Yes. You can mark a service as pay-at-the-shop, and staff record cash payments against the appointment. Daily earnings add up so the drawer reconciles.

Can clients book a specific barber?

Yes. On Shop each barber has their own hours, photo and availability, and clients choose who they want before picking a time.

Can I ask questions before someone sits down?

Yes. Add intake questions to any service: yes/no acknowledgements, short text, a choice of options, or a file upload such as an ID or an inspo photo. Answers and files are stored privately and shown to staff on the appointment.

Do clients need an account?

They can book as guests. If they create an account on your site, they can rebook in a tap, see their upcoming visits and manage them without calling you.

What is the Next Up board?

A live view of who is in the chair and who is coming next. It updates the second someone books, so the front desk and the floor are looking at the same thing. Full-screen board mode is on Shop.

Can I stop double bookings?

Yes. Overlaps are blocked at the database level, so two clients cannot take the same slot even if they hit book at the same moment.

What if I need a break or a day off?

Block the time in Availability. Open slots are worked out from your working hours minus breaks, buffers and anything already booked, so the page never offers a time you cannot take.
